ChattyFeet has turned Black Friday green with Treeapp

This Black Friday, playful sock brand ChattyFeet has decided to grow more than just its sock collection. By teaming up with Treeapp, every pair of socks purchased from Friday through Sunday funds the planting of a tree in a high-impact reforestation project in Brazil.

Instead of racing to the deepest discounts, ChattyFeet invites customers to fill their sock drawer while restoring nature at the same time.​

At the heart of the campaign is a simple promise: a pair of socks equals one tree. It transforms the routine Black Friday purchase into a tangible climate action, with a clear impact.

Objectives and goals

ChattyFeet has set out with two main goals for the collaboration. 

First, to offer a positive alternative to conventional Black Friday discounts by channeling sales into environmental impact. 

Second, to support a reforestation project that delivers measurable climate, biodiversity and community benefits in a region where trees are urgently needed.​

By linking each pair of socks sold to a tree planted, they can engage customers in their sustainability journey in a fun and accessible way.​

Why mangroves in Brazil

For this campaign, ChattyFeet has chosen to support a mangrove restoration project, with a focus on Brazil’s vulnerable coastal ecosystems.

Mangroves are powerful climate allies, capable of storing significant amounts of carbon while stabilising coastlines and sheltering marine life.

Restoring these habitats helps protect nearby communities from flooding and storm surges, while improving water quality and nursery areas for fish and other wildlife.​

Brazil is home to some of the world’s richest biodiversity but has experienced extensive habitat loss over recent decades. Supporting community-led restoration efforts there allows every ChattyFeet customer to contribute to a more resilient future for both people and nature.​
